The Croatian American Club of San Pedro is embarking on an annual campaign to provide scholarship funds to middle school and high school students whose families are members of the club. Scholarship prizes ($50 to $500) are provided to winning creative work entries that celebrate Croatian culture and/or what being Croatian means to the student.
Categories include Art, Music, Poem, Video, Essay, and Dance.
All entries must be emailed to CACSPScholarship@gmail.com by 11:59pm on April 29, 2022.
Please include the name of the student, the name of the primary family members of the club (parent), the current grade of the student (6th through 12th), and your phone number.
Art (painting, drawing, sketch or design of a logo, character, etc.)
Please email a JPEG of the art piece.
Music (song – max 5 minutes)
Please email a YouTube link that includes your song recording.
Poem
Please email a word document and/or PDF and/or JPEG of the poem.
Video (max 5 minutes)
Please email a YouTube link of your video.
Essay (500 to 1000 words)
Please email a word document and/or PDF and/or JPEG of the essay.
Dance (max 5 minutes)
Please email a YouTube video link of your dance performance.
All submitted entries might be distributed by the Croatian American Club on its website, email list, and social media platforms.
Winners will be announced at the Croatian Independence Day Celebration on Sunday May 29th at 5pm at the Croatian American Club. Please join us!
